October 10-12, the Sino-German MegaSyn Symposium 2022 - Metabolic and megaenzyme engineering for the biosynthesis of lipids and natural compounds was held, which was chaired by Prof. Yongjin Zhou from DICP and Prof. Martin Grininger from Goethe University Frankfurt.
14 scholars from China introduced the recent advances in metabolic engineering and enzyme engineering for biosynthesis of value-added chemicals. 11 scholars from Germany mainly focused on enzyme screening and protein engineering for biosynthesis of natural products.
This symposium promoted the academic communication and exchange between China and Germany for future cooperation. This symposium was funded by the Sino-German Center for Research Promotion (SGC), a research funding institution co-established by the German Research Foundation, (DFG) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
