Prof. Yongjin Zhou was awarded the Leadership Talent grant under the Liaoning Revitalization Talents Program. This program is a strategic initiative by Liaoning Province to attract, cultivate, and retain high-caliber talent, with the goal of driving the province’s comprehensive revitalization and advancing key industrial sectors. The Leadership Talent Project specifically targets top-tier professionals in cutting-edge fields, providing critical intellectual and innovative support for Liaoning’s economic transformation.

Prof. Yongjin Zhou’s research is closely aligned with the industrial development needs of Liaoning Province, particularly in the areas of Biochemical Engineering and Synthetic Biology. This grant will  help our lab to accelerate the research in yeast metabolic engineering and natural product biosynthesis, which will play a pivotal role in fostering high-technology and  high-quality economic development in Liaoning.
