The 13th National Symposium on Young Microbiologists was held from August 17 to 20 in Dalian, which was organized by our group together with the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology (Shandong University) and under the support of the General Microbiology Committee, and the Molecular Microbiology and Bioengineering Committee of the Chinese Society for Microbiology. The event attracted over 400 participants from across the country.

This symposium provided a national platform for young microbiologists to discuss recent developments and future direction on microbiology research, and foster the growth of young talents and academic collaboration in microbiology across China. (Text and imaged by Yuyao Ren)
