The 20th International Biotechnology Symposium and Exhibition (IBS2026) was held in Kobe, Japan, from June 28 to July 2, 2026. Prof. Yongjin Zhou was invited to give a keynote lecture entitled “Carbon Neutral Overproduction of Chemicals from Methanol”, and PhD candidate Yuyao Ren gave a poster presentation entitled “Overcoming Metabolic Bottlenecks for Efficient De Novo Melatonin Biosynthesis in Engineered Komagataella phaffii”.
